Have I told you my new job is pretty sweet. Cause it is.

I'm painting a mural for a shopping center on the other side of town. Why we're painting it across town and sending it over, instead of just painting it over there I don't know, but the place we're painting at is much closer to my house and indoors, which is cool. Nine to two, four days a week, for six weeks, and I'm making almost $900 for it (pre-taxes). I am a happy panda.

Apparently, there is a very large chance my art teacher may be transferred to a different school for the 10-11 school year, and the current graphic design teacher will take over. This is a Very Big Deal to me and most of the other art majors, for two reasons. One, my art teacher is awesome. Awesome teacher, awesome artist, awesome dude. And I owe him a lot for singlehandedly teaching me how to draw well. Second, the current graphic design teacher is a dick. He's the principals son, which I suspect is the only reason he's has a job, and has only been here for less then a year. I had him for a few weeks, and he's a pretty crappy teacher. And yet he's going to be responsible for a majority of the art department.

Another thing: I finally got my prize money...almost a week after they delivered it. And at least $15 dollars is missing. Which doesn't seem like a lot, but that's the minimum that's missing, and multiply it all by four means someone took at least $60 dollars from us winners. And it gets even more suspicious when you learn that the goverment teacher kept it since the 28th to 'count it'. It's on a gift card. How the fuck do you count money on a gift card? And, logically, that should only take a day or two at most. AND IT GETS EVEN MORE SUSPICIOUS WHEN I TELL YOU THAT I ASKED HER ABOUT IT ON TUESDAY AND SHE GOT INSANELY DEFENSIVE.

"Hey Mrs. P, have you heard anything about the money yet?"
"NO!"
"Do you have a phone number I could call about it...?"
"NO THEY DON'T WANT TO BE BOTHERED ABOUT IT ANYWAYS."

All this, plus the district still owes me $50 for being tutored. God damnit.

Some books are inspirational. Others are intellectually stimulating or emotionally comforting. Then there are those juicy, mindless reads that are only good for a plane ride or the beach. Which books or authors fall under this last category?

Most YA novels. Don't get me wrong, I go through those things like crack, but as much as I love Meg Cabot she is not the most inspirational and ground breaking novelist of the 21st century. Sorry, Meg.

Repo! The Genetic Opera is the wierd, gothy musical I never knew I wanted. It's like Nine Inch Nails and Saw had a baby, who did heroine while watching RENT. The only thing that throws it off for me? Paris Hilton as Amber Sweet. LADY GAGA WOULD BE MUCH BETTER. PROVE ME WRONG.

MY GROUP WON THE CONTEST! We tied for second place with another girl from my school, so they're combining the prizes for second and third place, and splitting it between us (me, my two groupmembers, and the girl). Overall my school ended up taking 5 out of the possible 6 places. I am VERY happy about it.

Since we won, and for the past week or so I've been having dizzy/nausea spells, I took the day off today. Slept until four pm, cleaned a little bit, then just hung around in my pajamas watching Death Note. Tomorrow I have to go to school, because I'm getting my Ohio Graduation Test (important test that determines whether or not I graduate) results back. I know I passed, I just hope I do well.

Nothing else to say. I can't wait for my prize money- I calculated it and I should get between $90-$110. Less then if we placed second, but more then if we placed third. And I already know what I'm going to buy. I'm super siked. :D :D :D
